Bernard Fowler: debut out in Europe and live on tour

Bernard Fowler's debut album 'Friends with Privileges' will be out in Europe on March 2, 2007. The release date will also be the start of a tour through Europe with an all star line-up.

That line-up will be: Bernard Fowler (vocals), Doug Wimbish (bass), Keith LeBlanc (drums) and Skip McDonald (guitar). Is it Tackhead then? No, it's Bernard Fowler's Bad Dog. The tour will take the band through countries such as Germany, Austria and Hungary.

The tour is meant to promote the European release of Friends with Privileges (click the link and listen to some excerpts!), that was already released in Japan and the US in 2006. The album, Bernard's first solo album in his long career as a singer, will be out on Dude Records, an Echo Beach subdivision.

Since Bernard is a background singer for The Rolling Stones for years now, it may not come as a surprise that there are some stones rollin' on Friends with Privileges. Guest musicians on the album include Ron Wood, Lisa Fischer (both of Stones fame), Stevie Salas, Steve Lukather, Ivan Neville, Doug Wimbish, Will Calhoun, Darryl Jones, Simon Phillips and Kid Rock.
