KEITH LEBLANC - PHAT SUGAR JAMS
Released by AMG, June 2003
Keith decided to recreate note for note sound for sound the drum tracks from a lot of the hit records he's played on. All of the Sugarhill Records with the exact same arrangements of That's the joint, Freedom, Rapper's delight, White lines, Eight wonder, The message, Spoones back, Funk you up and his own hit record, Malcolm X's No sell out - to name a few - and also some street stuff that never made the radio. It has the loops of the tracks and also the complete drum arrangement. To sample or play to. DJ's can mix them with the original records because we are using the exact same tempos. The sound is the same because we have all the same gear we used back in the day. And most important, we have the guy that played on the original records: Keith LeBlanc himself.
Try to beat that with a stick.
